Good morning,

There is a snap ring on the end of the axle that keeps the axle from popping out.

If it is missing or too compressed, it will not lock into the transaxle to prevent the axle from falling out.

thanks, but it is not going out from the gearbox, the housing stays behind only the shaft and the tripod (balls where you connect the shaft that from the outer CV joint.

Okay, thank you.

There is also a snap ring in that joint as well. Open the joint again and make sure the ring is not damaged.

Then there is too much movement.

Is this a replacement axle shaft of the original shaft?

original shaft does the engine holder or mountain bolts because it lost a bolt so the engine has a movement.

Okay, that could be the reason.

You need to inspect the mounts for movement and replace the worn mounts.

Hello,

The inner Tri-pod joint is designed to slide inside its casing up to a point. Any further outwards movement will cause it to pop out.

Which side is affected?

Why did you replace the lower control arm? Accident damage?

When replacing the lower control arm did you check that it is the same length as the old unit?
Was the wheel alignment checked afterwards?
Did you check that the outer cv joint installation depth matches the other side?
An outer CV joint which sits too deep in the wheel hub will effectively lengthen the travel of the side shaft which can cause the inner CV joint to pop out.
Also check that the side shaft is not bent

Please let us know how you get along.

Cheers, Boris

I hit a pothole my old control arm bend replaced it same length. have not check the outer one will do that ASAP because it's like the shaft is short but it's the original and it didn't bend.
