Hi,

I would be happy to help. I need to know the correct engine size. It should be a 1.8T, 2.0L, 2.8L, or a 1.9L diesel.

Let me know. Also, let me know if you have checked body grounds around the PCM and engine compartment.

Take care,
Joe

Hi,

Okay, this must be one for a different location and not offered in the US. But lets try something. Since I don't have info on the 1.6L, I will need you to trace the wire from the injector to the power-train control module. At that point, back probe the wire and see if there is an injector pulse.

I am basing this on the idea that all sensors are good as mentioned.

If the single injector is shorted on and the others appear dead but changing the injectors didn't help I would think the injector driver FET inside the engine control module has failed and is shorted. That would turn on that injector when the key comes on but the others wouldn't work.
A 2004 would likely be known as the VW Bora in other countries, Jetta is the north american and South African name.
