Good afternoon.

Did you verify power to the injector. with the key on, remove the connector and test for voltage at the connector.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-a-fuel-injector

the other wire goes to the pcm. that controls turning the injector on and off by grounding that wire. A tool called a noid light can confirm if it is doing its job. you can get one at the parts store.

I had done that and even swapped the number one injector to number two, but still the same. I had changed the cylinder head valves at that side but still same issue.

Have already done what?

What were the results? did you have voltage? did the noid light flash with the engine running?

need specific information to help you.

Then the injector is working.

What is the original issue that made you think the injector was bad?

I think misfire can cause this.

yes, there is a lot more to a misfire than the injector.

you need to check compression in the cylinder, check for vacuum leaks and also check the ignition parts such as coil and plug.

Okay thanks. i think is misfire that causing this so I am going to remove the cylinder head and base pan to check the piston rings and see.

I would do a compression test first to be sure it is an internal issue.

For now I have done everything on that car but still injector 2 not function. when you removed coil wire on the plug while the engine is running you can see the engine is shaking unless you insert the plug wire on the plug, but the number 2 didn't shake.

You need to do a compression test as I suggested two times.

The cylinder builds compression for the fuel/air mixture and when spark happens the mixture blows up and forces the piston down.

No, that is not it. compression check the valves and the head gasket as well.

You should take this to someone to do this test for you since you have no idea of what it does and how to check it.

You need to start a new question.

The admins want a new question when we go to another vehicle and problem.

I am mechanic and am working on the vehicle listed above right now, the injector two is not working. I have swapped the number one injector to number two, but still the same. I had even changed the cylinder he's valves but still the same issue. the timing too is well fixed. the coil and the coil wires too working good. so what do you think is the cause of this problem?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

If the problem remains at injector two regardless of switching the injector, you need to start by checking if there is an injector pulse to the number two injector.

Here is a link that shows how to check. If you have a noid light, use it to see if there is power to the injector.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-a-fuel-injector

If there is no power, then you need to trace the wiring back to the PCM to determine if there is a corrosion issue, the pin is pushed in on the connector, the wiring to it is bad, or if the PCM has failed.

Let me know what you find.

All I show is a 2.0L as the smallest for this vehicle. If you have power to the injector and it and a different one doesn't work, then it has to be a bad ground. Have you checked for grounding issues?
