ac fan will not turn on

when i turn the ac on the fan does not turn on at any point and if sitting in traffic car begins to run hot. the main fan does run as its supposed to. can it be the fan relay under the hood? there are three of them labeled fan relay 1, 2 and 3. thanks

You are losing power somewhere I would start with the 40 amp fusible links, also check the fans by see if you can turn them by hand.

Here is a guide to help you see where you are losing it and the wiring diagrams for the fans so you can see how the system works and the fuse panel locations and identifications.

Check the relays as well.
