Hello. We have a gently used infinity (96 with 90K) miles. Garaged. Well maintained.

Recently we noticed a "scrunch" noise on driver side when going over speed bumps (2 mph)

Other than that, tires are new and it steers very well.

We took it to our local Dobbs who says it is a $1000 to fix as we need to replace all 4 struts and strut mounts.

comments? Is this reasonable? Couldd we not just replace the front struts?

12-13 years and 90K miles are quite a bit on suspension parts. But that does not mean $1000 in repair. If you are handy with tools, you can fix the struts yourself. While it is recommended that all struts are replaced at the same time, you can replace just the front, and at a later time replace the rear. While it is highly suggested, I really doubt that you need to replace the strut mount. One thing that I would check though is the sway bar links. Those are notorious to go bad on Nissan/Infinity.

Make sure that you have the vehicle aligned every time suspension work is done. Exception is sway bar links.
