Hello,

Where my 2WD/4WD selector is, my truck has been going from 2WD to N. It changes only when I turn truck on and off. For example, went 15 miles and it was in N. Turned truck off then came back and was in 2WD. I’m thinking it’s a loose connection somewhere. When I try to go to 2WD from N it just blinks. You’ll see in video attached.

You are probably correct that there is a connection issue but it could also be the actuator. However, the flashing and staying in Neutral is indicating a fault. That means you have a fault code so we need to start with that or we are just guessing and that can get frustrating and costly.

Here is a guide that will help with this but we need to check for codes and go from there. If you can't pull codes then just stop by a parts store and they should be able to pull them for you.

Let me know what you find and we can go from there. Thanks

I have a code reader and didn’t pop any codes, however, I believe mine is just a generic one. Next step will probably be stopping at a parts store that is a code reader that will diagnose transfer case issues. If that’s what the issue is.

I would just to double check. However, if we have no codes then we most likely just have an electrical issue which we can try to run through some testing to figure that out.

Let's just do the parts store double check and make sure and go from there so we don't waste time if there is a code pointing in a different direction.
