I’m not sure where the immobilizer unit is in the car. Can someone please explain to me where to find it? I need the serial number off of it.

Hello,

The immobilizer unit is located under the center of dash, forward of center console.

See attached diagram below.

Let me know of any questions.
Thank you.

I found it, but I called my nearest Mitsubishi dealership said they don’t have a pin for the S/N I provided.

Usually, dealerships can look up part numbers by the VIN. Have you tried that?

Update: I was able to get the override code, but the car still won’t start. Fuel pump sounds like its working, the starter is cranking, I just tried spraying starter fluid into the throttle body and it’s not turning over. Next step is to check for spark I’m assuming? Sorry I’m new to this and learning as I go, lol.

If the engine is cranking over but not starting it is typically due to no spark or fuel. Since you are unable to start it with the starter fluid, checking for spark is the next best step.

Let me know what you find.

No spark can be due to a faulty coil/ignition module. See attached.
Another possibility is a faulty crank position sensor.

Are you getting any codes?
Crank sensor could be the culprit here.
You did mention that the immobilizer is not the issue right?

It the coil is overloading it will need to be changed, possibly a defective one. Are you able to get a warranty on the coil?
