Basically, i bought a lemon I'm stuck with and I'm trying to get it working better.
I'm not a car person by any means.
I can drive around just fine (sometimes*)
Otherwise, i can give it full gas and it doesn't get the RPM
to match the gas it's given and it has really slow acceleration otherwise it's fine.
Both 02 sensors have been changed as well as half the muffler (from the cat on backwards).
I do have error codes, and a gas cap code as well popping up
Out of money to put into it I'm really hoping it's an easy cheap fix i can do myself.

I intend to check the filter as well as the plugs but I'm not really sure what either should look like. I'm hoping it's just a gunked up filter or something since its random.

Have you tried to clean the throttle body? There is a spray that you spray in the throttle body that helps get rid of buildup in the throttle body, make sure you follow instructions for use.

Also, i don't know if its relevant but sometimes turning the car off and turning it back on temporarily fixes it, sometimes does nothing.
