Ignition will turn over but will not crank

All lights including the check engine light on dashboard light up briefly when cranking then go off as normal. But as of Tuesday, I noticed that all lights will come on when turning over except the check engine light and it will not crank. It will only crank when all lights are lit specifically the check engine light. This just happened when I filled my gas tank to full. Need advice!
