Ignition switch installed incorrectly

I replaced my ignition switch and installed it wrong by not lining up the dial correctly and now when it starts I hear a loud squeal, what did I do and how do I fix it?

It sounds like the loud squeal is the starter staying engaged due to the switch misalignment. Here are diagrams and instructions on how to reinstall the switch correctly. Check out the diagrams (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.
