Where is the release pin located on the ignition switch so I can remove the cylinder? Any pictures of it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
There is a release button that is pressed with the key in the ACC position. I attached a picture.
Take a look at what I attached and let me know if that helps.
Take care,
joe

Sorry Joe. Maybe the diagram you reference is some form of generic ignition. Mine doesn't look the same and does not have any holes or access to any pins in or near the noted location. I don't know if you will be able to make anything of my picture, but it is taken from approximately the 7 o'clock position from under my steering wheel.

Hi,
That is what is in the manual. It should be specific to your vehicle. It may be somewhat recessed and difficult to see.
Let me know if you can find it. If not, I'm not sure what to say. That is where my repair manual indicates it is located.
Let me know.
Joe

This is not generic; I think you need to look from the bottom of the key lock tumbler. Here are the complete instructions so you can see what's going on. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Ken,
Thanks for helping. I'll get back at that ignition as soon as my back allows me. I just had surgery yesterday. T don't want to tear that big incision open. It's hard enough for me to get down there and mess with that darn thing and now it's probably impossible. Might be a week or so. I'll get back to you with the findings.
Thanks again
