Ignition problems, codes P0353 and P0303

You are correct in replacing the coil, but have you removed the spark plug are checked it? If it is fouled, it will cause an issue. Also, since the misfire is specific to cylinder 3, try this. Switch the coil between cylinder 3 and another cylinder and see if the code changes.

Bob, I would first remove the plug if you haven't already and inspect it. If it is good, try the test I indicated to determine if it is related to the coil. Although it is new, it could be bad. By changing that coil with a known good one that isn't setting a code will determine if the problem is related to the coil or if we have a wiring issue.

Now, the test above is only if this has a coil on plug. Basically six individual coil packs. Some came with one coil for all cylinders. If that is the case, let me know.

I attached a pic below which indicates possible causes primary/secondary circuit issues. Also, can you feel the misfire?

The coil is 6 cylinders all combined into one coil pack. It made no difference with new spark plugs or coil pack. The car still will not fire.

Bob, are you getting spark to any of the plugs? If not, can you get your hands on a live data scanner and see if there is an RPM signal when cranking the vehicle?
