When I park the vehicle and put the car into park, I am not able to turn the ignition key to the off position. It remains stuck in the ACC position. This has been going on for a couple of weeks now. I have been successful in getting the key to turn to the off position and removing it from the ignition. But this is only after several minutes of turning the steering wheel in a multitude of different directions, backing the car up and pulling back into the parking spot and forcibly putting the car in park, foot on the brake pedal/removing foot from the brake pedal, constantly turn the ignition key to the star and then try to turn it to the off position repeatedly. I'm not sure what actually happened but that allows me to at some point turn the ignition key to the off position and remove the key. I appreciate any insight into what may be wrong as the dealership has quoted a couple thousand dollars to change the ignition switch out, which is ridiculous.
