I had a code that cylinder one the ignition coil was bad

I have also disconnected the plug and turned on the truck and it still makes the same loud noise as if it was plugged in. I assume it’s the ignition coil module but I just wanted to be sure.

It was a P0351 and P1405.

Okay, 1405 is for the DPFE sensor. It could be the hose is off or broken. I attached a picture for you.

The 351 is a wiring issue for the coil. I attached a wiring diagram and highlighted the wires. One wire should have 12 volts with the key on. The other wire is pulsed to ground from a signal from the crank sensor.

Would it be best to change the whole module to that coil?

There is no module. the control is the PCM. Check the voltage to the coil first.

I speaking about the specific connecter to the coil. I’m not at my vehicle right now so I am unable but it is very similar to the sound of a bad spark plug/coil.

Yes, check the voltage at the coil on number 1.

With a multimeter, correct?

Correct. Check for DC voltage.
