We need to check for codes because most likely you have a code in the BCM that will tell us what the issue could be.

Take a look at this diag chart for this warning light and it basically tells us what the issue could be. Thanks

Just to be clear, you are trying to start the vehicle with a key that doesn't have the chip in it? Or your vehicle does not have a key with a chip in it?

I think your vehicle has the chip key which means it will not start unless you have a key with a programmed chip in it. So if that is the case, we need to get a key programmed or this will not start.

Let me know if this is the case. Thanks

Yeah, you're right. The key break and the chip got lost.

Okay. Unfortunately that is the issue. You are going to have to get a key with the chip and have it programmed in order to get this started again.

Not to solve your issue. You could use them but you have to have them programmed to the other modules on the vehicle and I am not positive that they can be programmed to more then one vehicle. Meaning once they are programmed to one vehicle they can't be swapped to another.

If you think about it, if this was possible then all someone would have to do is swap out the switch to another with a set of keys and they can drive off with any of these vehicles. Unfortunately, I think the best option is to get a key and have it programmed.

Hello, I'm Danny.

Since a suspension question is not related to car keys what we ask you to do is start a new question. Here is the link:
