Try a second ignition key to see if the results are the same.
If so, spray some electronic cleaning "fluid" into the ignition keyhole (or rub dielectric grease onto the key) and then try to start the vehicle. This works in a lot of cases.
If none of this works, drop by the dealer to see if they will give you the "brake-by-pass code" which will allow you to start the engine. If this code works the you can be sure that your problem is a faulty immobilizer unit.
