Engine will not idle

Good morning,

This could be the result of a dirty throttle body that has carbon build up.

Are there any codes in the system? Is the check engine light on? You can have a parts store read the codes for you for free. Once you know the codes, let me know so I can help narrow the area of failure.

No engine light on no codes on. Yesterday when I first started the car it was fine I needed to lock the house so I turned it off when I came back about 2 minutes later and started the car again is when the idle problem started.

Okay, I would try cleaning the throttle body as I suggested to see if it is any better.

I went out this morning and started the car and it is running great again, didn't have to do anything very mysterious.

I understand. The issue will return as nothing has been done for the issue.

I would still clean the throttle body very well.
