I replaced my EGR which helped a lot, but still Idles rough sometimes and slow to get to idle after acceleration. Also, my throttle cables at the carburetor has a lot of slack.

I am thinking you may have a vacuum leak. Let's run through this guide and video on looking for a leak and go from there.

As for the slack in the cable, how much is a lot? Can you have someone push the accelerator in the vehicle and you get a video of this slack you are talking about? That will tell us how much the pedal has to be pushed before the throttle starts moving.
