How do I bleed the system on this model?

Just take off the radiator cap, fill with coolant, start the engine with heat on and let it idle till it reaches operating temp, raise the rpm to about 2500 and hold it for about 3 seconds each time, continue to check coolant level to the radiator fans come, when they do just put the cap on and your done.

When I mentioned this to my mechanic he said that if I'm not overheating then the cooling system is fine and not at all connected to the issue of idle. What do you say about this?

may be an air lock in the throttle plate coolant passage, this would not cause any over heat issues, also clean throttle plate and clean IAC by pass air passage and make sure the IAC is actually working, take nothing for granted as new parts can be faulty.

Actually, as I drove around a few days the idle settled into an almost perfect setting. Meaning, mostly it is stable at 5-600 rpm. Once in a while it will slightly fluctuate between 500 and 1100 rpm for a short period of time. Also, the computer is no longer indicating a faulty IAC. Should I just leave it at this point?

i would just drive and monitor the situation and re post if it is a ongoing concern.
