Hi,

I need to change the alternator but I can't identify it yet. It's a Delco Remy but there is no label anymore. I don't know the nominal amperage. i don't know also how to identify the clock position of the plug because I don't know what is the 6 to 12 clock axis. what is the reference?
I added a picture...
Thanks for helping.

Good morning,

You have a 105 amp alternator. I attached the chart for you.

As far as the clock position, it is referring to the post from the battery. In your picture, it is a 6 o clock.

I also attached a wiring diagram for you to be sure the alternator is the actual issue.

I attached a YouTube video for the repair as well.

Hi Roy,

Sorry for the inconveniences, it does like that and I don't know why.. My question was, how did you determine the plug clock position? What is the reference axis, which parts?
On RockAuto they speak about 7 or 11 o'clock for 105 amps alternator...

Okay, the reference is the mounting bolt to the wire from the battery.

In the picture, it is the 7 o'clock position.
