I would like to add a second VOD fuel gauge

i would like to know what color in the wiring harness to tap into of my vehicle listed above VX model. as i want to add a second fuel gauge with my other gauges the fuel gauge i have is a vod.

Hello,

The color at the tank is purple. here is a wiring diagram so you can see how it works. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Sorry Ken, but that wire runs right through to the front of the driver side of car doesn't it.

Hi Ken,

Tried the purple wire but it didn't work, but i found two purple/white wires so I tap into one of them.
but now it is telling me my tank is full on the vod gauge but on the dash cluster saying is just above half a tank. so what's going on? have i done something wrong?

I don't know if the VOD gauge has the correct resistance for the sender. sometimes aftermarket gauges have there own sender. You can call the company to ask, let me know.
