My window was knocked out from a burglary and it was closed when a rock was thrown threw it. I cannot for the life of me get the new glass window back in. I have got door rubber trim out and the glass is hitting the door panel and I cannot get the door to slide down in the door. I have to be missing something that's probably so simple. Please help, I have four kids and two are in college and they want to charge me $150.00 to install the new one. I found a glass at a junk yard for $45.00 and it came off a 2005 impala and if I am right all 2000 to 2005 widows are the same. I do not beg but if I can just get by spending the $45.00 only I would be so relieved.
Thanks,
John

I appreciate your help, but I am just not getting it. There has got to be something I am missing, but I cannot figure it out. This is very frustrating and I am really disappointed in myself for not being mechanically inclined. Just terrible.

the first picture I sent is the removal process the second two pictures are the pieces that have to be removed. the regulator must be in the down position to do this then the final picture I sent is the way to put it back together. As I said in the reply the window from the 2000 impala may be different from the 2005 that is why you are having trouble. I am assuming you already have the door panel off as well.

Hello Ken, I'm just making sure that you know what I am replacing. My rear door window had a rock thrown threw it while the window was up and burglarized. I am trying to replace just the glass and that's it. When the window was broken, it was in the up and closed position. Do I still remove the motor and the regulator to install the new glass? I mean the glass was totally busted out and the 2 brackets that hold the glass in the door was all that was left of the door glass. Do I remove all the components as if I were replacing the motor and the regulator? I still have not put the new glass window in. Lol help needed again. Im sorry for bothering you again, and I understand if you don't have the time.
