Okay, my two codes are: first, speed sensor and second, lost communication with the ABS. other symptoms are the cruise control is not working now, it used to, check engine light is on and the caution triangle stays on. However, it is not shifting roughly and my speedometer is working, not accurately but fairly closely.

Hi, thank you for using 2CarPros. I sorry you are having issues lets see if we can help you out.

Since you didn't post the code numbers I need to ask if you know them, or if you know for sure it was a "speed sensor" and not a "wheel speed sensor" code. It would honestly be easier for me to have the code numbers so I can look them up as they apply to your vehicle.

Would you be able to provide them?

Thanks, Rich

UO121 for the brake system and PO501 for the speed sensor.
Thank you for your help, I'm running out of time. I was wondering if I replace my master cylinder, because I'm pretty sure it needs to be replaced, and has needed to be for a few months now. just haven't had the money to do it. Do you think that would clear both of those codes?

It looks like you have a speed sensor failure which will give you the second code as well as ABS failure.

To replace it, remover the airbox and under it you will see a transmission mount. The sensor is under that mount. You will need to support the motor from underneath as this mount hold the motor up as well.

Let me know how it goes. Rich
