i just replace my air conditioner compressor after being without it for a year

now i recharge my air conditioner system and come to find out the clutch is not activating. i realize the air conditioner clutch fuse #48 10 amps. when i start the SUV and turn on the fan motor speed on that fuse 48 one side is always negative, but when i turn on the fan speed the other side of the fuse pin does turn to positive so i have one side negative and the other positive and it is burning the fuse i do not know if you can help me out. all the fuses are good i do not know if a wire touching somewhere.

It sounds like you have a short in the new compressor clutch coil. Try to unplug the compressor to see if the fuse blows.

You state that it keeps burning out the fuse. If one side of the fuse is negative and the other side has power, the fuse is burnt out.That tells you that you have a circuit overload or short circuit somewhere that needs to be found before you start jumping anything out.

i am trying to look for a wire touching somewhere, but i cannot see any at all. when i turn on the air conditioner inside then the other side of the fuse does get positive current on it.

That positive current is supposed to pass right through the fuse and it is not because it is burnt out. Someone is going to have to follow the wiring diagram and isolating things until the short is found.

thanks for your effort bro. my problem was a fault ac diode on the 2006 hummer h3. if you have a problem with the #48 ac clutch fuse keeps blowing. in my case the fuse #48 keeps blowing because i has the ac clutch diode which is #90. on the fuse box faulty.
