There is heat blowing from the midway vents but no heat to front defrost or lower feet vents?

When I turn the heat on in the vehicle and set it to the Midway vents it blows out warm air when I switch to defrost it instantly goes cold as well as when I switch to the lower vents.

Hi,

That is an interesting one. When you switch to defrost or the floor, does the airflow direction change accordingly?

I ask because there is a mode door actuator that is responsible for airflow direction and a blend air door actuator that is responsible for air temperature. What you described ties them together, which is very odd.
