Mechanics don't have time to watch videos. We use the manufacturer's service manuals for this information, although most unfamiliar cars just require common sense once you have basic training in brake systems. If you're going to be doing these kinds of jobs on a regular basis, get the service manual. You'll refer to it all the time.

You can also go to the top of this page, point to "Repair and Service", then click on "Manuals" to go to a page where you can buy a subscription to an online manual that includes the manufacturer's data plus a lot more stuff. This is one of the online services independent shops subscribe to for a very high annual cost, but it's pretty reasonable when you're only paying for one car model.

Understand too there's a real lot more involved in a professional brake job than just changing a few parts. You can cause squeals and vibrations, chattering, pulling, and things like that. We do things and we avoid doing things to prevent these issues. The typical Automotive Brake Systems class is 180 hours long so we can cover all the things to watch out for.
