2003 Hyundai XG350 tune up

My engine light came on and I took it to see what was wrong. They said it was a misfire code and that it needed a tune up. The cost would be $592. I thought that was a little excessive. The repair shop said that in my car the top of the motor had to be removed in order to reach the spark plugs.

if you are good with your hands you can do this your self and save the money here's how

2.7L & 3.5L Engine


Remove the engine cover.
Disconnect the VIS actuator connectors and injector connectors.
Remove the accelerator cable.
Remove surge tank sub assembly.
Remove the spark plug cable.
Remove the spark plug.
then install in reverse order
Tighten the spark plugs to 11 ft. lbs. (15 Nm).
