Brakes problem
2006 Hyundai Tuscon Two Wheel Drive Manual 32000 miles

Two weeks ago I got all brake pads replaced on the car, as well as the front brake discs. Today the car failed it's MOT (at the same garage), as no brake lights were working. They checked bulbs, fuses and switch and all seem fine, so now I have to take it to Hyundai to repair, hopefully under warranty. My question is, could anything have been done to affect the brake light operation when the garage worked on the pads/discs two weeks ago, as it seems too coincidental that there would be this problem so soon after that work? I'm certain that the lights were working recently, but can't be certain when I last noticed them.

Actually, there really isn't anything they could have done. The brake lights and the brakes are two different systems.
