When I release the clutch, there is no play. I will release it for 2-3", and nothing will happen, and then it will dump everything all at once, no matter how slowly I let it out. Also, if I am feathering the clutch, like when I am in reverse, or inching my way through traffic, if I do not release the clutch the entire way, when I depress the clutch again to go back into neutral, the transmission gets stuck in gear and I have to muscle it out. I think the clutch itself is fine, as the car doesn't come out of gear while driving, and the gears never grind. I took it to the dealer, who replaced a check valve and flushed the hydraulic system, but the problem remained. Also, I should mention that the car started doing this immediately after I hit a pot hole at 70mph, which rattled the car pretty good. I checked for leaks after it happened, and there are none.

I'm going out on a limb here and saying you either have a problem with the slave cylender or the actuall pressure plate. Have you checked them?
