the temperature gauge on my gauge cluster reads almost hot. I replaced the thermostat, the sensor next to the thermostat and still reads almost to the "H". I know that usually you can turn your heater on to stop it from overheating, but when i do, it stays where it is. My fans dont come on unless i either.. 1.)unplug the sensor next to the thermostat, which will make it to where i cant read the gauge. or 2.)turn my A/C on which still doesnt make the gauge move. So i dont think it is the fans causing the problem, even though i know there's something wrong with them. I checked my hoses and they're tight. I dont think the car is actually overheating. So could the sensor i bought just be bad and need replaced or maybe a bad thermostat? Thank You for your help.

My 2006 Tiburon has a simliar problem.

My temp gauge will slowly increase if I am idle at a stoplight, but once I start driving it returns to normal.

Also, my A/C will go warm if I stop for more than 30 seconds or so. It seems like these two problems are related, but I'm not sure.

Any advice would be helpful.

It sounds like the cooling fans are not working. Have you ever noticed them coming on when you are stoped?

I suppose I've never been that aware of what the fans are doing, but no - I haven't noticed them coming on when I'm stopped.

I wonder if that kind of thing is covered by my 60,000 mi warranty. (Probably not).

Seems like the coolant is not circulating. You did not mention anything about the thermostat. Was it checeked or replaced?
