Noises problem
2006 Hyundai Sonata 4 cyl Automatic 54000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
When driving I hear a whistling noise, it sounds like it is coming from under the hood on the passenger side. Once I hit the brakes the noise stop as soon as I take my foot off the break I hear the noise again. How long can I continue to drive the car with this problem

I couldnt tell you that without knowing what the noise is. Is it more like a scraping noise? a brake pad sensor scratching the rotor, telling you it is time for brakes? If you hold the rpm's of the engine up in park, will it make the noise? If so, have someone do it and look around under the hood for the source

I had the same thing except it was on a 2002 version and 2 mechanics I took it to and $400 later nobody had a clue but I had a new wheel bearing for the trouble. It still does it from time to time and at times its loud and others it doesn't make a noise. Good luck. Hear anything please let me know - [email protected]
