On my XG which is similar, I had to remove the glove box to get at the unit. If the heater control is digital, you may not have resistors but rather a pulsed circuit thru power transistors. On mine I replaced that hi-tech expensive unit with 2 ceramic ballast resistors to give me an old fashioned 3 speed blower on a toggle switch. It's worked fine for 3 uears now.
