2001 Hyundai Sonata Identifying #1 Cylinder

Just bought car, had to have emission test, failed with "#1 cylinder mis firing". In standing in front of the car, looking at engine, how do I identify which is the #1 cylinder.

Also, "check engine" light is on.

I plan to start by replacing plugs and plug wires. Any other suggestions?
