When you use the window button do you hear anything happen at all or is it silent? Switch failures are usually silent while a regulator failure you might hear the motor click or move but the window stays in one spot. Do the other windows all work from the drivers switch, just not the drivers window? Or do they all work with their door switches and not from the drivers switch?
Testing requires that the inner door panel be removed to access the window switch and it's connector. To do that you remove the screws shown in the images, then use a trim tool to pop the retainers free so you can remove the trim panel. Then you can unplug the switches and test the motor to see if it's the motor or the switch. To test that you need to have a pair of wires connected to the battery. Then you use them in the connector you removed from the switch. There will be a pair of wires a Blue one and a Brown one which power the drivers window motor. If you use the jumper wires to touch the terminals for those wires you can duplicate the way the switch works. If you connect power wires up with battery positive to the Brown wire and battery negative to the Blue wire, the window should go down if the motor is OK. Then if you reverse those two wires the window should go up.
If that works properly then the switch is faulty and replacing it will solve the problem.
If the window doesn't move then you need to replace the window motor which will be just behind the water shield which you gently pull off of the door. The switch is the more common failure, especially if the window has been working fine until it just stopped. If it has been moving slow or grinding prior to failure then it is more likely the motor.
