I took my car to the dealer for an oil change 3-4 weeks ago and ended up having to replace the radiator, the left front axle and rear brake work, plus a transmission flush. When I took the car in, it was running fine and making no strange noises. When I brought the car home, I immediately noticed a creaking noise when I was at a stop light and when I pulled the car into the garage. At the time, it sounded like it was coming from the left axle, which they had replaced. I took it back the next morning and was informed they heard no noise but oops, my sway bar bushings needed replacement. STUPIDLY, I OK'd the job and the car is still making the noise, somewhat intermittently. Its definetly coming from the front end right side. The car runs fine however, so I'm wondering if something is loose or they did the axle replacement incorrectly. I'm not taking the car back to the dealer, under any circumstances. Any ideas/suggestions for what to ask the mechanic would be appreciated.
