Hi

I'm new to the forum, not an expert neither a pro, I'm just someone looking for a little help. My problem is that my Santi is leaking oil and I could not find from where.

I had clean the motor, there's no leaking from the top of it. Took the crank cover out, because it was oil on it, clean it and check for any cracks, no cracks were found. The car stills leaking oil and I don't know what esle to do.

I had took the car to an expert and cost me $45.00 just to put some marinetex to the crank cover borders. Please help!

Thanks,
joetwos

There are a couple of things to consider. First check the pcv valve and make sure there is suction to it. You can buy some dye that can be added to the oil and then checked for the source. Using good lighting and dental mirrors carefully look for the source. You may need to remove things as you go along. Posting pics may help if you run into a problem or question.

I had found the leak. It seems I need to replace the crank cover. No matter how much I thighten the screw, the leak continues from the top of the cover. I'm trying to find a new one or one in excellent condition but had no luck. Can you help me with the name of the part. I'm looking using the name: "crank cover".

Thanks,
Joe

Hi joetwos.

Are you sure it is not the oil seals?
