2002 Hyundai Santa Fe am radio noise

If I turn the am radio on when the engine is off the
stations come in fine. When I turn the engine on
the stations are distorted by the engine sound. Do I buy a filter or is there another solution?

Hi kimartin,

A filter is the easiest solution.

I would check for poor grounds on all the main points to see if it helps.

If the problem starts after you replaced the spark plugs, then you might have used those without radio interference suppressors.
