2001 Hyundai Santa Fe cant get the transmission out of the

i am trying to replace the clutch, i have disconnected everything and anything to do with the transmission but the transmisson will not come out of the car. there is absolutely nothing attached to it that could hold it on and seems to be stuck from the inside. any ideas on how to get this thing out? we have tried prying it and moving it side to side.
