2002 Hyundai Accent rough idle

I have a 2002 Hyundai Accent with 87000 miles and 1.5L engine. It idles rough, but smooths out when I accelerate. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 1997 accent that does the exact same thing, and it has almost exactly the same amount of miles on it. In my case, I think it's the transmission (the car's gotten a lot louder than it should be of late on top of this), but any help here would be appreciated.
