1998 Hyundai Sonata Onboard Computer

I have a 1998 Hyundai Sonata Car. When I took it for Emission test the emission was failed because of the error message "OBD Not Ready". I checked with couple of mechanics and they told that the onboard computer need to be replaced. Can you please let me know how to make the onboard computer ready for emission test? (or) Where can I find a used onboard computer for my car?

sounds to me that the monitors have not completed in order to pass for inspection,, in order for vehicle to pass there is a certain criteria for these readiness test to run,, these test check operation of specific onboard systems such as o2 sensor, evap system and exaust system for proper operation,, if there are any problem with any system it will put out a trouble code and the readiness test will not pass and vehicle will fail inspection,, I havent seen any instances were the modle needed replacement, but i do know that the 98 is a very difficult vehicle when it comes to running the monitors.. try to get a trouble code number and get back to me
