1995 Other Hyundai Models Two Wheel Drive Manual

on a Hyundai excell 111 January '95. on air in take I find two devices before the air does go in to the aluminum carburetor. are they mass air flow gages? do they determine the fuel in take? ( injection model). is the oxygen measured to determine the the quantity of fuel injected? if so where do I find this oxygen sensor.
does the mass air intake sensors affect the timing of the engine?

Reason I ask is, that I wish to add oxygen to the air in take for better combustion.

The Air Flow Sensor or Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) is one of the components of an electronic fuel injection system. The Mass Air Flow sensor is usually installed inside the intake air duct between the air filter and the engine. The Mass Air Flow sensor is used to measure the amount of air entering the engine. This measurement is used by the engine computer or ECM to calculate proper amount of fuel injected into the cylinders in order to provide optimum combustion and low emissions.
