2005 Hyundai Getz belt squeaking noise

2005 Hyundai Getz 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

Hi,

I have this squeaking noise from belt and the noise only last for 5 to 10 mins after engine started and disappear after that.

This problem occur even after the belt changed recently.

Need your expertise of what exactly is the problem.

Hi Steve,

If the noise goes away after replacement of the belt and reoccurs after some time of driving, recheck the belt tension.

Check the pulleys for rust formation on the grooves. Check the crank pulley if equipped with harmonic balancer.
