1995 Hyundai Excel Sloppy slow Gear change

Hi there hope you may be able too help me?,I have an 1995 Hyundai excel sprint Auto,And the gear box seems too change gears sloppy and the kick back when putting your footdown seems too take longer than usal?,Box Fluid is kinda red brown so fulid needs changing,So this mean i need too get a filter and pan gasket kit and change oil? or somthing else? I`m not sure but before attempting such thing...So I just want a second opinion on the the problem? Thankyou.Vips
