What am I facing now that I've been driving on the wrong spark plugs for about 2000 miles?

If the reach and threads are the same maybe nothing, any symtoms?

No seems to be idling good, I have had about 4 less miles to the gallon, but the mechanic who looked it over said the ignition coil could be bad but they wouldn't know until they got into it. Does that sound right? I thank you for your repley in advaance.
