I have tried to test my ignition coil on my car. I know I was not supposed to take a wire lead off of the ignition coil, but it was the only way I thought possible to obtain a reading since it has no other terminals. Would I read the OHM outputs by unpluging the individual pack electrical connectors or how would I do this, they are non-can type packs. I know that the ignition coil packs say that they are 12 volt packs, if I took a reading with the engine running and all of the posts read under 10 volts DC, could this be bad coil packs?

if it isnt getting 12v to the connector with key on engine off on the power side then the wiring is bad.
