I had my timing belt replaced 4 months ago and the car was driving okay. About 2 weeks ago, the car would lose power on acceleration from a stop on occassion. Now the car is surging and hard shifting. I am getting multiple codes when I took the car to Auto Zone to have the check engine light checked. They were cam sensor, o2 sensor, output speed sensor. Do you think the timing belt could be off or may have slipped?

Hi kalm40,

Thank you for the donation.

It is possible for the timing belt to skip a tooth but without understanding the situation, it would be hard to diagnose. You would need to check the timing belt synchronisation first.

What are the exact trouble codes? They might provide some insight to the problem.
