On your website, I used the "Popular Site Links" tab and "Timing Belt Marks." For my 2002 Hyandai Elantra, the diagram shows both a chain and a belt. Does this mean the camshaft and crankshaft are linked by a chain and the belt only runs the ignition? I am trying to determine if there will be a catastrophic failure if my timing belt breaks.

Your engine is run of a timing belt, not chain, and it is an interference engine. Major overhaul will be required if the timing belt breaks.
