I had the three belts replaced on the engine, and installed a new water pump. When compleated the power steering pump belt seemed to be slipping bad. I applied belt dressing, but didn't seem to help much. Though that belt was tight, the pully on the PS Pump stopped every once in a while. I was told that the pump was seizing up and needed to be replaced. I replaced it. Now with the new one, I'm still getting that loud squeeling when you turn the steering wheel. Is it possible that I'm over tightening the belt, or is there something else going on? Someone mentioned back pressure???

If its still squealing after you replace the pump-could be still loose-check it with a belt tensioner

Did you bleed the new pump?
