2001 Hyundai Elantra oil light

Engine Performance problem
2001 Hyundai Elantra 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive 96,000 miles

The oil light stays on. Husband check the oil level and with the exception of it needing to be changed the oil level was fine.

Any thoughts on this matter.

Hi hud1125,

If the oil level is ok, the oil pressure switch might be faulty.

If the oil is badly overdue, it can cause the switch to malfunction.
