The idling system is not working correctly. Check the coolant level in radiator, throttle body and Idle Air Control valve. Some cleaning might be required.

The coolant level in my car is normal, the throttle body has been cleaned out and check and also the Idle Air Control valve has been replaced but it is still idling high and fluctuating between high and low when turned on...

Is the replaced IAC new or used?

Have you checked for vacuum leakages?

Was the throttle plate stopper tampered with?

The IAC was check and cleaned (used)

The idling speed is too high and it is due to excessive getting past the throttle body.

1. Faulty IAC. Make a gasket to block the IAC air passages and start vehicle to test.

If the idling speed is still high, it is not the fault of the IAC. There is a vacuum leak somewhere. Check if the throttle plate is fully closed. When the throttle plate stopper is tampered with, it would not close fully resulting in surging.

Check the PCV valve.

Hey sorry i have taken so long to reply..

the throttle plate is working in order and is fully closed.

i am having the intake gasket taken apart and looked at cause we cant seem to find any vacuum leaks any where else. dad says looks like someone has tried to bodge it up with some sorta Elastic or some sorta gap filler around the edges.. will let you know how it goes
